Hongkongers wanted to celebrate a victory that belongs to us, Hongkongers, not China. Yet, even enjoying sports and cheering as Hongkongers were not allowed. A Hongkonger was arrested simply for booing the Chinese national anthem and chanting “We Are Hong Kong” while watching the medal ceremony in a shopping mall.
