Many men who turn to Southeast Asian women have either been divorced or hurt in love, leading them to dislike Chinese women. The reality is that China is significantly wealthier than most of Southeast Asia. Most people work in cities, and their rural homes are larger and more beautiful; the city apartment is often just a rented place for temporary rest. However, many Southeast Asian women find this doesn't match the man they envisioned. They expect to find a handsome and rich Chinese man, like in the movies, not reality.
The Philippines also has many high-quality girls, but their mindset is influenced by Western thinking, making them feel superior. They simply don't realize that Chinese people don't hold Westerners in high regard. China has a profound historical culture and deep roots. It was only temporarily set back when things were taken away by Westerners. Now, China is developing very well, is very safe, and the people are friendly – especially Chinese men, who are responsible, love their families, and respect their parents.
However, some Chinese criminals flee to Southeast Asia to do bad things. Some go there to work and casually find a woman. Actually, many of these working men have families and children back in China. Even if they have children with these Southeast Asian women, they often do not take responsibility, making people think these bad things were done by Chinese people.
